New Web Site for the American Academy of Pediatrics Helping Babies Breathe SM is an initiative of the American Academy of Pediatrics and many partners, to offer a neonatal resuscitation curriculum for resource-limited circumstances. Working closely with AAP, Captus designed the new site to prove the international community with easy access to the evidence-based curriculum. New Medical Administration Curriculum Unveiled at National Conference The Healthy Futures: Improving Health Outcomes for Young Children, Medical Administration Curriculum for American Academy of Pediatrics, Early Education and Child Care Initiatives. Launched at the American Academy of Pediatrics’ National Conference & Exhibition 2009, this collaborative effort lead to the development of a training presentation including instructor and participant manuals. It is the first in a series of curricula that Captus will develop. Check it out! |

Public Relations, Materials and Web Site Development
The Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department (OWL VFD) has engaged Captus Communications for assistance in public relations, materials development and Web site development. OWL VFD turned to Captus for its experience with volunteer fire departments and its expertise in marketing and outreach.

American Academy of Nursing
Captus was selected to assist the American Academy of Nursing in developing and implementing a marketing communications plan to address membership and development priorities identified by the Board of Directors. Initial efforts will focus on data gathering to inform the strategic and materials development services.

Training Curriculum Development
Captus was tapped by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Early Education and Child Care Initiatives, to develop The Healthy Futures: Improving Health Outcomes for Young Children, Infectious Disease Management Curriculum. This, second in a series of curricula being developed by Captus, is dedicated to teaching child care providers critical skills to improve the health of children. Captus was selected for its experience in facilitating group collaborations and ensuring that tangible products result from group efforts.
