We Work for Health Employee Education Campaign

We Work for Health is a movement among current and former employees of the pharmaceutical industry to support local health- and industry-related causes. The main purpose is to unite under one banner all the good works industry members have been doing individually.

To ensure that all of the employees knew the basic issues surrounding the industry, and that they would deliver consistent and reliable messages, We Work for Health hired Captus to develop a binder system for employees. The binders included fact sheets that outlined in simple terms the complex issues facing the biopharmaceutical industry.

Renal Physicians Association Member Education Campaign

The Renal Physicians Association is national medical specialty association with a membership comprised of health care providers in the field of nephrology. Captus has developed a campaign to assist the RPA in member communication and education, as well as to increase the presence of nephrology in the national health care dialogue. Captus works in partnership with RPA to provide a host of materials, including:
  • RPA News, a bimonthly newsletter
  • RPA eNews, a bi-monthly electronic update
  • Policy in a Minute, a bimonthly video
  • www.kidneypatientsafety.org, a Web site dedicated to kidney patient safety
  • Conference materials
  • Supporting print and Web projects
Captus also develops materials for RPA’s political action committee, RPA PAC, enabling it to communicate with the U.S. Congress and organized medicine.

Dale City Volunteer Fire Department Recruitment Campaign

Captus created a unique advertising campaign on wheels to recruit firefighters and medics for this Northern Virginia Volunteer Fire Department. Working closely with the Department’s assistant fire chief, Captus provided:
  • Creative concept development for a transit bus advertising campaign
  • Photo shoot and custom graphic design of a bus wrap and bus poster
  • Graphic design and production of recruitment postcards
The buses not only helped accomplished Dale City’s recruitment goals for its four volunteer stations, but they generated media coverage, increased public awareness about the volunteer department, and generated interest from fire stations all over the country looking for novel ways to attract volunteers.

Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department Recruitment Campaign

To assist OWLVFD recruit volunteer firefighters and medics, Captus — in partnership with Fire Services Group — conducted focus group and online research with volunteers, as well as a volunteer needs assessment to develop a comprehensive marketing campaign plan.

Captus took the lead on developing community and media outreach recommendations, public relations, and creative direction, including:
  • Developing the creative concept for the campaign, logo, and branding
  • Providing graphic design, copywriting, and production of portable exhibits, posters, and brochures
  • Designing and developing the Web site

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Recruitment Campaign

Captus’ contracts with the Loudoun County EMS Council and the Loudoun County Fire Advisory Council to develop and implement a recruitment and retention campaign, gave Captus insight and perspective into the challenges of finding and keeping volunteers to perform these essential community services.

Captus developed a marketing and communications plan that led to the roll-out of a multimedia campaign, which included placement through radio, TV, newspaper, magazine, movie theater, and other media.
