About Captus Communications

About Captus CommunicationsDeborah Mullen established Captus in 2002 after a 20-year history of providing program development and project management services across a wide range of federally supported initiatives of the National Institutes of Health and other agencies within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Captus brings together a core group of experts who, in some cases, have worked together for years on the nation’s toughest public health challenges — from HIV/ AIDS to tobacco control, chronic disease issues and patient education to promoting children’s health and wellness. At Captus, we combine best practice approaches with lessons learned over more than 20 years of experience working with leaders in these fields. This experience gives Captus an unparalled depth of knowledge to develop and launch health campaigns, information services, publications, Web sites, clinical guidelines, and more. Captus embodies the difference that assembling the right team can make in accomplishing health-related communications goals effectively, on time, and at very competitive rates.

Over its seven-year history, Captus has expanded its network of experienced health writers, editors, managers, designers, and video producers and directors with new leaders in emerging technology to meet our clients' needs for content management systems for dynamic Web content, eMarketing products and approaches, innovative use of online video and audio, and social marketing techniques.
